Be Aware! Wild Dog Notice.
Wild Dogs have been noticed roaming around Indigo Run. The dogs seen together are a black and white female pitbull and a brown Sheppard mix. Both are approximately the same size. I.R. Security is aware of them. They have moved and reset the traps and will continue to keep an eye out during normal patrol routines. Should it become necessary, we will contact the County for assistance. Please be cautious when out and about.
Annual Meeting Update
There were approximately 150 residents in attendance at this years Annual Meeting and Social event. Here is a summary:
2010 Census
The Beaufort Census Bureau is looking for Census Enumerators. Enumerators are paid $12.75 per hour and $.55 per mile for usage of their automobile. Enumerators work flexible hours and, for just a few weeks, Enumerators are assigned areas in or near their
community. Anyone interested in working with the Census Bureau may call their job line (843) 982-5420 to schedule testing at a nearby test site.
The last Census was in 2000 and a lot has changed in our community, county, state, and nation since then. The 2010 Census will undoubtedly impact our future and every resident plays a significant role. Here are just a few ways the Census data is used:
• To draw congressional, state, and local legislative districts
• To allocate Federal funds for state and local governments
• By Congress to adopt policy and Federal legislation
• As input for planning community improvements (e.g. roads, schools, hospitals)
The Census will begin in March 2010.
