The Indigo Run Community Owners Association is responsible for all of the Indigo Run community-sponsored events, spearheaded by executive assistant for activities, Kathy Ambrosic. Our mission is to provide activities for everyone of all ages in our community and to keep our community informed on a timely basis of all happenings.
We are responsible for planning, organizing, communicating and supporting all major social events, quarterly seminars, social/entertainment programs, and the annual owners meeting each December. We are also responsible for community communications, and we specify the rules and procedures for the use of Indigo Hall. Finally, we monitor the effectiveness of the community website.
Projects may have a designated coordinator or “champion” who has the responsibility for coordinating the event or activity with support from volunteers and the rest of the COA staff. This reduces the burden on our members and volunteers and lets them get involved in those areas in which they are most interested.
Major events - Oyster Roast/Spring Picnic (March or April); Fall Festival (September); Annual Meeting (December); and special events, if required.
Seminar programs – A variety of subjects as long as they are not sales pitches!
Children’s programs - Easter Egg Hunt; Halloween party; Christmas party, movie nights and more
Christmas Decorations – We design them, maintain them, put them up and take them down with the help of community volunteers.
Community Communications – Newsletters (printed & online); community and resident happenings; announcements including composition and editing; surveys; bulletin boards.
Announcements/Newsletters distribution - We currently deliver printed announcements and newsletters to mail slots beneath each mail box.
Social / Entertainment Programs – usually in the evening, theme based, refreshments and / or entertainment may be provided by attendees. These are “for the fun of it” events.
Indigo Run Hall rules & procedures – How Indigo Hall can be used, by residents.
Indigo Run Community Owners Association Web Site – Monitoring, perhaps surveying, the effectiveness of our web site and its contribution to the level of excellence rating for our community.
We would really like everyone to get involved. We are planning on having a lot of fun this year. If you are interested in coordinating or volunteering for an event, please send an email to Kathy Ambrosic at or phone her at 689.7300. Give us your name, phone number and email address. Also, please let us know which event(s) you are interested in and whether you would like to coordinate the event or volunteer for the event. Thanks in advance for your help!
NOTE: If we can’t find volunteers for an activity, we may need to cancel it for the current year. |
