The Indigo Run Women’s Club (IRWC) was formed to promote community spirit and fellowship among the residents of Indigo Run. The club provides an opportunity for women moving into Indigo Run to find new friends who share common interests. In this way it helps ease the transition into a new home.
Currently there are over 230 members who are enjoying the benefits of membership. These include quarterly luncheon meetings, social gatherings, educational programs, and interest groups. IRWC sponsored events are listed on the community calendar on the COA website and the club publishes a monthly newsletter. Membership is open to all female residents, full and part-time, for an annual membership fee of $25. If interested, please contact Pat Kollar, Hospitality Chair, at 342-6796.
The Women’s Club has published a community cookbook as a fundraiser to benefit local charities. They make wonderful hostess gifts and can be purchased by contacting the current president, Linda Petkov, at 689-9771 .
Committees plan IRWC activities. The Hospitality Committee plans and hosts “Welcoming Receptions” for prospective and new members. The Newsletter Committee assists with the distribution of the monthly newsletter. The Social Events Committee plans and hosts a variety of events such as “Cheers”, a boat cruise, and movie nights. The Program Committee plans and implements the four scheduled club meetings, the annual Holiday Dinner Dance, and any additional special programs.
