The NewGate EntryTechnology System is coming to the Indigo Run.
When notified that your Community is scheduled, please stop by the Security Gatehouse at your convenience to pick up your Car Tags.
Indigo Run Owners will receive two (2) Car Tags to be affixed inside the front windshields of their vehicles. The Car Tag measures 1” by 2 ˝” and will be mounted on the far left edge of the driver’s side so as to minimize any visual obstructions. Car Tags have a unique ID number are Non-Transferrable from vehicle to vehicle.
The Car Tag contains a RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip that picks up a signal from the Reader that is mounted on top of the pole located to the left of the entrance gate. Therefore, the driver must stop the nose of their vehicle close to the gate to pick up the signal and activate the gate. A temporary line will be painted on the pavement to remind drivers where to stop the nose of the car until they get used to the new system.
To enhance our access control procedure, the New Gate Technology System is supported by software the tracks the Car Tag identification number of each vehicle entering the gate.
Furthermore, the “hands free” nature of the system will allow drivers to keep their hands on the steering wheel instead of searching for their Clicker. However, Owners are welcome to keep their Clickers if they wish. Clickers are to be used by Owners or immediate family members only.
The first two (2) Car Tags are free, additional tags can be purchased for $10 each. See below for specific driving instructions with new tag system.
